Living with Narcolepsy

Muscle pain

I was just wondering does any one else experience extremely painful muscles. I have tried everything and they always go back to the way they are use to (very tight and sore). I get remedial massages every 2-3 weeks and they always say that their is something else wrong and its like you need a chissel to get into the muscles to get the pain out. Some people I know who suffer from narcolepsy and cataplexy as well don’t get any pain I really don’t understand it. so I was wondering if anyone else is like this.

Hey Bronte,
I’m Merl, I’m one of the moderators here on Ben’s Friends and although my condition is not narcolepsy related, I have found a document regarding narcolepsy which does state
“Other symptoms include weakness, aching muscles, sore throat and
headaches. A person with narcolepsy is extremely sleepy all the time
and, in severe cases, falls asleep involuntarily several times every day.
Narcolepsy is caused by a malfunction in a brain structure called the
hypothalamus.”

Here is a link to the document concerned https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/health/ConditionsAndTreatments/sleep-narcolepsy?viewAsPdf=true

Hope it helps
